Crystal Therapy is an alternative medicine that is used to prevent any sickness as well as physical and mental healing. Crystals affect our chakras or the seven wheels that distribute information and energy through the body that the nervous system, the brain, and the endocrine glands receive and secret hormones into the body that dictate the cellular activity in the body.

Each crystal has a metaphysical property that can help us in our everyday lives, but we will be focusing on emotional and physical healing. These beauties emanate an electromagnetic wave that help balance our energies as well as animals.

How does a Crystal Therapy Session Work?

A crystal therapy session takes a lot of preparation because the crystals must be washed and programmed before and after each session. It’s advised that the person who is getting the treatment should stay relaxed and willing to open their chakras. After a session, you feel relaxed and as the days pass, you feel energized.

The way I do a crystal therapy session is by meditating for at least 20 minutes to open up my chakras and use a singing bowl to cleanse my aura and chakras a bit. After that, I lie down on the bed or a yoga mat with 7 crystals that represent each chakra and put them in their designated areas for at least 15-30 minutes and let them do their work. After each session, I feel refreshed and ready to tackle anything, but it is common for people to take naps right after a session, every body reacts differently to crystals. I will explain each and every crystal I mention in another post as well as what an overactive and underactive chakra is like.

The Chakras

The Root chakra is located at the base of the spine and works with the spine, the bladder, the kidneys, our blood, the male reproductive organs, and feet. It is the chakra of survival and primal energy, it also focuses on taking care of self and others, which is why the most common crystal for this chakra is red jasper or garnet.

The Sacral chakra is located just below the navel and is associated with the lymphatic and circulatory system, the kidneys, the adrenals, the skin, and the female reproductive organ. It focuses on sensitivity and sensuality as well as reproduction, which is why carnelians are so good for this chakra.

Under the sternum we can see the Solar Plexus, which is associated with the nervous system, stomach, gall bladder, large intestine, and pancreas. Critrine is wonderful for this chakra, as well as for people who suffer addiction, depression, fatigue, etc.

The Heart chakra is located in the center of the chest and works with the circulatory and respiratory system, the arms, the hands, the shoulders, the rubs, the breast, the diaphram, and the thymus. Since this chakra is divided into two sections (the male section and the female section) aventurine and rose quartz are excellent crystals for this chakra.

The fifth chakra is located at the base of the throat area and it associates with the thyroid, the larynx, the trachea, the ears, the nose, the teeth, the mouth, and the throat. Lapis Lazuli is a wonderful crystal for this chakra, it is also great for executives, journalists, and psychologists because it stimulates wisdom and good judgement in a practical world.

Amethysts are a wonderful crystal for this chakra because it also has healing properties for aching bones, emotional and psychological pain, psychiatric conditions, and auditory impediments.

The seventh and last chakra is located at the top of the head and it controls the brain, the nervous system, and the pineal gland. Most people think that a wonderful representation is a diamond, but clear quartz is more common for healers because it is considered the master healer.

There are thousands of crystals that have different health benefits for our physical, emotional, and psychological health, which is why they are so important in holistic medicine.
