Garnet is the zodiac stone for those who are born under the sign of Aquarius, but did you know that it was worn as a talisman in the Crusades for both Christians and Muslims? Here are basic purposes of the Warrior Stone and what happens when I put it to the test and wear it for an entire week.

This gorgeous red crystal is supposed to help extract negative energy from the chakras as well as reduce the body from toxins, heal melancholy and depression as well as brings courage and hope in hard situations.

Garnet can inspire love and balance the sex drive so the base and crown chakra are going to be really balanced when you wear this stone. It’s also considered to be a lucky stone for love, success, and business relations as well as helps whoever wears it to let go of old behavior patters, boost self-confidence, and alleviate nightmares.

It is said that the brother of Louis XVI applied garnets directly to his genital organs to relieve his low libido as well as any sexual disorder.

During the week were I put it to the test I wore it as a bracelet and I had wonderful dreams instead of nightmares. Even though I was slightly stressed due to midterms, I did feel like I could manage everything and felt like my chakras were pretty aligned for someone who has a large amount of assignments.

Also, when I did automatic writing this week, I felt like I emotionally cut ties with a lot of people where the friendship was only one sided and situations that only brought me negative energy.

The verdict? I recommend this to anyone who has an underdeveloped base chakra and is in a co-dependent relationship or surrounds themselves with people who aren’t good for their emotional health.
