Cinnabar is often referred to as the Stone of Wealth and Manifestation and is often known as the Merchant’s Stone because it increases the wealth of a business person. It’s considered a stone of transformation, magic, alchemy, and healing.

Historically, this stone was considered as the alchemists’ stone because it contains mercury. Alchemists believed that mercury could be transmuted into gold. It was used as pigment in Stone Age cave art and was used as makeup in the 1700’s.

This stone is often used to aid communication and inspired thinking and can be used to align all of the chakras as well as release fear and resentment. I highly recommend to only use the polished version of cinnabar because it contains mercury.

If you meditate with this stone, you will understand the reasons as to why you’re pulling back abundance from your life so that you can take an appropriate action to attract prosperity and abundance back into your life

Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Purposes

On a physical level, Cinnabar can be used to strengthen the body as well help stabilize weight. It also promotes flexibility in the physical body and help deal with any blood disorders or fertility issue.

It’s said that it’s a strong stone to aid the healing of the physical body because it’s used to align all of the chakras and supposedly those who wear it can live a very long life because it enhances one’s life force.  This stone is a natural booster for the immune system and can help the body to heal deep seated and on-going infections like staph or bacterial infections.

Emotionally, this stone can help to increase persuasiveness and assertiveness and aids in prospering one’s endeavors without acting aggressive. It’s helpful when you want to enhance your persona or change your image, because it  promotes dignity and power. Cinnabar imparts fluency to the mind and speech.

This stone has a strong energy that can enhance your creativity and encourage you to think in a more inspired and spiritually creative way.  It can also help to release any fear and resentment as well as help you deal with a situation that’s hurting you, making you angry or jealous. Cinnabar can also stop one to take issues to the heart.

On a spiritual level, Cinnabar connects to the acceptance of everything being perfect exactly as it is and helps release energy blockages as well as align the energy centers. It resonates with the Sacral Chakra as well as the Root Chakra and helps to raise the awakening of the Kundalini energy.

It’s promotes clear understanding of the actual flow of the energy from the source of Divine into the physical world while meditating with it.

  1. Cinnabar was one of my favorite stones until I did a little more research on the geology of the stone:
Cinnabar is a toxic mercury sulfide mineral with a chemical composition of HgS. It is the only important ore of mercury. It has a bright red color that has caused people to use it as a pigment and carve it into jewelry and ornaments for thousands of years in many parts of the world. Because it is toxic, its pigment and jewelry uses have almost been discontinued. … geology.com

    1. Thank you for sharing this information! It’s important to be very careful with crystals, even if they’re polished, which is why it’s essential to research them before buying one.

I have a piece of cinnabar but I make sure to only use it in special occasions (like in crystal grids) and store it separately from the other crystals.
